1. Statement of commitment
Bayati Environmental Consulting, Inc. is committed to making https://www.asbestosleadmoldconsulting.com usable by people with disabilities, including people who navigate by keyboard, people who use screen readers or other assistive technology, people with low vision, and people who need enlarged text or increased spacing to read comfortably.
We treat accessibility the way we treat the technical standards in our own field: a stated target, testing against it, a written record of what was found, and scheduled correction of what fell short.
Our conformance target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. We adopted that target voluntarily. We apply it because it is the most widely accepted technical definition available, and because it is the standard the U.S. Department of Justice adopted in its 2024 Title II rule.
Two points of accuracy, since they are commonly stated incorrectly. The U.S. Department of Justice has not issued a regulation setting a technical web standard for private businesses under Title III. The Department’s 2024 rule adopting WCAG 2.1 Level AA applies to state and local government entities under Title II, and Bayati is not covered by it. We use WCAG 2.1 Level AA anyway, as a self-imposed target, because it is the right measure of the thing we actually care about.
This is a commitment about ongoing work, not a claim about a finished state.
2. Conformance status
Target standard: WCAG 2.1 Level AA (W3C Recommendation).
Current status: Partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
“Partially conformant” means that most of this site meets the standard and that we can name the parts that do not. WCAG conformance is defined page by page, for the whole page. As long as any Level A or AA issue remains open anywhere in scope, “partially conformant” is the accurate description, and we use it rather than a stronger word.
A baseline evaluation of the eight page addresses that Section 7 lists as the baseline scope was carried out on 2026-09-05. It identified four issues mapped to WCAG success criteria. Three were corrected. The result of re-testing those corrections is recorded in Section 8. The fourth concerns an unused system page that sits outside the scope of this evaluation, explained in Section 4. Section 4 also records one further limitation that the re-verification observed and the baseline did not. Section 7 describes exactly how both evaluations were performed and by whom.
Everything still open is listed in Section 4.
We hold no third-party accessibility certification and no Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), and we do not describe this site as certified, audited, or approved by any outside body.
3. Features supported
The following were tested by execution against the live site, at both a desktop viewport width and a mobile viewport width, across every page address listed in Section 7. Each one is listed because it was measured, not because it is expected to be true.
- Automated success-criterion scan - zero violations tied to any WCAG success criterion were reported by axe-core across every page address in scope, at both widths.
- Color contrast - on the pages and dates listed in Section 7, every foreground and background pair was measured against the actual rendered pixels, rather than against theme values, and all measured pairs met or exceeded the WCAG 2.1 Level AA minimum. A re-measured probe returned 5.21:1 against a 4.5:1 requirement.
- Keyboard access - the controls we build and control, including the fields and the submit control of the contact form, were reachable and operable using the keyboard alone on the dates tested. This was performed manually, not inferred from markup. The third-party bot-protection challenge described in the scope note below is outside that scope.
- Focus visibility - the keyboard focus indicator remains visible on focusable elements as focus moves through the page.
- Reflow at 320 pixels - content reflows to a 320 pixel viewport width without loss of content or function and without requiring horizontal scrolling to read.
- 200 percent zoom - text remains readable and functionality remains available at 200 percent browser zoom.
- Text spacing overrides - the site remains readable and functional when a visitor applies the WCAG text-spacing overrides for line height, paragraph spacing, letter spacing, and word spacing.
- Form error identification - when the contact form rejects an entry, the rejection is presented as text on the page, rather than by color or position alone. What that text does not do is stated plainly in Section 4.
- Input purpose on the contact form - the email field on the contact form accepts browser and assistive-technology autofill, so a visitor relying on stored personal data can complete it without retyping. This was corrected during remediation and re-tested on 2026-09-17.
- More than one way to reach a page - every page on this site is reachable by at least two independent means: the header navigation and a site-wide footer navigation block. This was added during remediation and re-tested on 2026-09-17.
- Correct current-page announcement - on the asbestos, lead, and mold service pages, assistive technology is no longer told that the home page is the current page. The header’s Services link, which is highlighted on those pages as the section being browsed, is now identified as the current item in the menu instead. This was corrected during remediation and re-tested on 2026-09-17.
Scope note on the contact form. The form uses Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise for abuse protection. We checked how it is configured here rather than assuming: it runs in Google’s invisible, score-based mode, so there is no checkbox to tick and no puzzle to solve, and no challenge was presented at any point in completing or submitting the form during our testing. Google’s own documentation allows a visit it scores as suspicious to be escalated to a challenge. We did not observe that, we did not test Google’s challenge interface, and we make no statement about it, because it is Google’s code and not ours. If the form is an obstacle for you for any reason, call 310-626-5706 or email bayaticonsultant@gmail.com. Neither route uses the form and neither presents a challenge of any kind.
4. Known gaps and scope exclusions
We name gaps publicly because that is what makes the rest of this document credible. A statement that lists no gaps is telling you either that nobody looked or that somebody looked and did not write down what they saw.
The /cart system page, outside the scope of this evaluation. Our website platform generates a shopping-cart page at /cart for every site it hosts, whether or not the site sells anything. Bayati sells nothing through this website. The page is empty, is not listed in our sitemap, and its only inbound link is hidden at every screen width we tested, so no visitor navigating this site reaches it. It is not part of the service we offer to the public, and it is outside the scope of the evaluation and of the conformance status stated in Section 2. We will bring it into scope if we ever enable commerce on this site.
The error message on our contact form, which our website platform supplies. If a submission fails, the form shows one short message above the fields. That message does not name the field that caused the problem, and it is not marked up in the way that makes a screen reader announce it when it appears. The form is built and served by our website platform, and this behavior is in the platform’s own code rather than in anything we wrote. Correcting it would mean layering scripts of our own on top of the platform’s form, which we will not do, because that is the road that ends in an accessibility overlay. Status: open, with our website platform. We have written down exactly where in the platform’s code the behavior comes from, so it can be re-checked whenever the platform changes the form. Workaround: the same page publishes this office’s phone number and email address, and either one reaches us without using the form at all.
5. Remediation timeline
If you report an accessibility barrier, we will assess it and tell you what we plan to do about it. We work to a 90-day target for corrections that are within our control, and we treat a barrier that blocks a class of users from using the site at all as the first thing in the queue. Where a fix depends on our website platform or another vendor, the timing is not ours to set, and we will say so rather than give you a date we do not control.
Where a correction is not achievable on that target, most often because the defect sits in software supplied by our website platform or another vendor and requires a fix upstream, we will say so directly, add it to Section 4 with the reason, and offer an interim way to get the same information or service from us by another route.
Current remediation queue:
- The contact form’s error message, open with our website platform, reasoning in Section 4
- /cart system page, outside the scope of the evaluation, reasoning in Section 4
6. Contact path for accessibility feedback
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, tell us. We would rather hear it from you than not know.
Email: bayaticonsultant@gmail.com
Subject line: “Accessibility feedback - asbestosleadmoldconsulting.com”
Phone: 310-626-5706
It helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what device, browser, or assistive technology you were using. If you would rather not send that detail, send what you can. We will still look.
We read every message sent to this address. We aim to acknowledge a report within 10 business days and to reply substantively within 45 days, stating either a target date for the correction or, if we cannot correct it, the reason and the alternative way we can get you the same information or service. Those are targets we work to. If a report needs longer, we will tell you where it stands rather than leave you without an answer.
If something on this site is not usable for you in the form it is published, tell us and we will work with you to get you the same information another way, by email, by phone, or in another format where we reasonably can.
7. Assessment methodology
This statement is based on an evaluation of the live production site, performed by execution against the site as visitors actually receive it, not by reviewing a design file or a checklist.
Baseline evaluation: 2026-09-05.
Re-verification of corrected items: 2026-09-17.
Scope for the baseline evaluation was eight page addresses: the seven listed in the site’s sitemap (/about, /certifications, /contact, /services-1, /services-1/asbestos, /services-1/lead, and /services-1/mold) plus the site’s root address, /, which shows the same home page as /services-1. The re-verification covered those same eight addresses and also the site’s two new pages, the Privacy Policy at /privacy and this page at /accessibility. Each page was evaluated at a desktop viewport width and at a mobile viewport width.
Methods used:
- Automated testing with axe-core version 4.10.2, driven by Playwright controlling Google Chrome, run against every page in scope at both widths.
- Color contrast measured against rendered pixels, sampling the page as painted rather than reading declared theme values.
- Manual keyboard-only navigation of every page and of the contact-form submission path, including error states.
- Reflow, zoom, and text-spacing checks performed by resizing and by applying the WCAG text-spacing overrides to the live pages.
The evaluation was performed for Bayati Environmental Consulting, Inc. by Korevor, the vendor engaged to review and remediate this site.
We do not claim an independent audit or a certification. This was a documented evaluation performed by the web vendor we engaged. Korevor was retained by Bayati to do this work and is not an independent certifying body. No accreditation organization has reviewed this site, and nothing on this page should be read as a certification, a seal, or an outside approval.
Automated tooling detects a portion of accessibility problems and cannot detect all of them. That is why the manual keyboard, reflow, zoom, and contrast steps above were performed as well, and it is also why Section 6 exists. If our testing missed something that affects you, your report is how we find out.
8. Last reviewed
2026-09-05 - Baseline evaluation of all eight page addresses at desktop and mobile widths. Four issues mapped to WCAG success criteria were identified: input purpose on the contact form’s email field (1.3.5, Level AA), only one way to reach two pages (2.4.5, Level AA), a navigation link on the three service detail pages carrying a current-page marker that did not match the page being viewed, so assistive technology could announce the wrong page as current, and a missing page identifier on the unlinked /cart system page (2.4.2, Level A). Color contrast, keyboard access, focus visibility, reflow at 320 pixels, 200 percent zoom, text-spacing overrides, and form error identification all passed.
2026-09-17 - Re-verification following remediation. The contact form’s email field now accepts autofill. A site-wide footer navigation block was added, giving every page a second means of access. The current-page announcement on the service detail pages was corrected. Every page now opens with a single top-level heading and steps down through heading levels in order; at the baseline, six of the eight pages had no top-level heading at all and three opened at the third level. On the contact page, the message field was relabeled to say what it is for, a note was added asking visitors not to send Social Security numbers, account numbers, or medical records through the form, and the disclosure that the form is protected by reCAPTCHA was published. The Privacy Policy was published at /privacy and this statement at /accessibility, and both are linked in the footer of every page. Each correction was re-tested using the methods in Section 7. The re-verification also recorded one limitation the baseline did not: the contact form’s failure message is not announced to assistive technology when it appears, and it names no field. That is our website platform’s own behavior and it is now listed in Section 4. The /cart system page is outside the scope of this evaluation, for the reasons stated in Section 4. Published conformance status: partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
The next scheduled review is 2027-09-17. Our practice is to re-check this statement and re-test the affected pages after a change we make to the site, such as adding or removing a page or changing the contact form. Our website platform also updates its own templates, which we do not always see. That is one of the reasons Section 6 exists.
This statement describes our accessibility work in good faith. It is a description of what we tested and what we found on the dates given. It is not a contract, not a warranty, and not legal advice, and it does not waive any rights held by any person.
